Why Do We Use Beef Tallow?
Beef tallow is a naturally bioidentical lipid whose structure closely resembles the protective lipids found in human skin.
Because of this similarity, the skin recognizes it as familiar. It absorbs easily, supports regeneration and helps restore the skin barrier without clogging pores or overloading the skin.
For us, however, it is not only the functionality that matters.
The origin of the ingredient and the way it is produced are equally important.

Ethical and Low-Emission Approach
The beef tallow we use:
• comes exclusively from a by-product of the food industry
• does not increase demand for animal production
• helps reduce waste by using an existing raw material
• is processed locally, without the need to import exotic oils
• does not require industrial hydrogenation or heavy chemical processing
Thanks to its local origin and circular use, it has a significantly lower carbon footprint than commonly used imported oils such as coconut, shea or argan.
We do not evaluate sustainability by a single label.
We look at the entire life cycle of the ingredient.

Regenerative Agriculture
The quality of any natural ingredient begins in the soil.
The beef tallow we use comes from Czech farms practicing regenerative agriculture.
This approach is not only about livestock farming.
It is about restoring the landscape and maintaining long-term ecological balance.
Regenerative farming focuses on rebuilding soil health, water retention and biodiversity.

Soil Restoration
Managed rotational grazing encourages deeper root systems in grasses, increases organic matter in the soil and restores microbial life.
The soil becomes more fertile, more resilient and better protected against erosion.

Water Retention
Healthy soil functions as a natural reservoir.
It helps the landscape retain water more effectively and improves resilience to drought and extreme weather conditions.

Carbon Storage
During photosynthesis, plants capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it in the soil as stable organic compounds.
Well-managed grazing systems can therefore contribute to improving the carbon balance of the landscape.

Biodiversity
Rotational grazing encourages the growth of diverse grasses, herbs and wild plants.
This creates a more stable ecosystem and supports pollinators, insects, birds and other wildlife.
By using beef tallow from these farms, we are not supporting overproduction.
Instead, we give a meaningful second life to a raw material that already exists within the food system.
Ethics in a Broader Context
The label “vegan” does not automatically guarantee a lower environmental impact.
True sustainability considers the entire system:
• origin of the raw material
• method of production
• transportation
• packaging
• overall impact on the landscape and ecosystems
That is why we evaluate sustainability holistically, not through a single attribute.
For us, ethics means:
• using responsibly produced raw materials that already exist
• minimizing emissions and waste at every stage
• creating products whose packaging can safely return to nature
Bohemian Cosmetics
Ethical Locality & Low-Emission Beauty
Our creams are not only natural.
They are designed with respect for the land, animals and people.
By using locally sourced ingredients, ethically obtained tallow and packaging that can safely return to nature, we aim to close the cycle of beauty without unnecessary waste or environmental burden.
This is the philosophy of PureCycle Beauty.
Care that supports the skin — while respecting the natural cycles of the world around us.
