Atopic eczema affects up to 20% of children and 3% of adults in the Czech Republic. It is not a cosmetic problem – it is a compromised skin barrier that cannot retain moisture and sufficiently defend itself against external influences. The result is chronic itching, redness, dryness, and a feeling of tightness that constantly returns.

Most conventional creams mask this problem. They contain a high proportion of water, emulsifiers, and synthetic preservatives, which temporarily moisturize the skin but do not repair the natural barrier. For sensitive and atopic skin, they can also be a source of further irritation.

A different approach. From the ground up.

Bohemian Balm was not created as a cosmetic product. It was created as a response to a specific problem in our family – children with atopic eczema, ichthyosis, psoriasis. We were looking for care that would truly support the skin, not just temporarily soothe it.

The base is organic beef tallow from Czech farms with regenerative farming. Its lipid composition is naturally similar to the skin barrier's composition – it contains the same fatty acids that the skin needs for its own regeneration. Instead of remaining on the surface as a layer, bioidentical fats penetrate deeper and support the natural function of the skin barrier from within.

No water. No emulsifiers. No synthetic preservatives. Only ingredients that the skin naturally accepts.
