🌿 WHO WE ARE AND WHY BOHEMIAN COSMETICS WAS CREATED: THE STORY OF A FAMILY BRAND

Welcome to our blog.
We are Bohemian Cosmetics , a family brand from Pilsen, founded with a simple but strong goal: to create cosmetics that benefit people and nature.
Here on the blog, we will share with you our journey, experiences, values, and behind-the-scenes look at how products are created, into which we put our heart, honesty, and Czech nature.

🌱 How it all started

Bohemian Cosmetics was created out of a real need.
Our family has been dealing with sensitive, dry and atopic skin for a long time (we also have psoriasis and other skin problems in our family), for which regular cosmetics were often not enough. We were looking for a solution that would:

  • pure and natural,

  • really functional,

  • gentle for sensitive skin,

  • ethical, local and sustainable,

  • compatible with how human skin works.

This need led to the idea of ​​creating cosmetics that would not only be “natural” but also bioidentical – meaning that their lipid components were similar to those our skin produces itself. Our family had already made such products and we knew they would provide relief.

Our first products are already on the market and we would be very happy to offer them to you.

🌿 Our philosophy: PureCycle Beauty

We have summarized our approach to creating cosmetics in the PureCycle Beauty concept, which is based on four pillars:

  • Biocompatibility – a composition that the skin recognizes as its own.

  • Circularity – local and renewable raw materials without unnecessary environmental burden.

  • Low emissions – minimizing carbon footprint at every step.

  • Compostability – packaging made from an innovative, first-of-its-kind material - Vivomer, which decomposes in nature without microplastics.

Our goal is to create a closed, healthy and sustainable cycle , in which nothing ends up as waste and every part of the product has meaning.

🏆 Our achievements so far

Even as a young brand, we have made great strides in a short time:

✅ we became part of the BIC Pilsen incubation program ,
✅ we presented our concept at Innovation Week 2025 ,
✅ we presented our concept to the British Ambassador ,
✅ we are preparing to participate in the e-Žena competition,
✅ we cooperate with local farmers, herbalists and suppliers,
✅ we are working on professional and clinical tests of our products,
✅ and we are getting the first user feedback confirming that bioidentical care really works.

These awards and opportunities are confirmation for us that it makes sense to do things honestly, with respect and with an eye on the future.
